CENTURION DEMON
Name: Centurion Demon.
Aliases: Vanguards of Dis, Legio Infernus DCLXVI.
Sphere: The Great Undercroft.
Tier: Regular.
Picture:
Abilities: Standing seven feet tall, their flesh marred by the boiling blood rivers of the Great Undercroft in which they are eternally punished in for their insolence and violence, Centurions were once proud men of the Roman Empire, but brought down to become the damned for such pride and wicked evils they have possessed without question. Their strength exceed human capacity, but in regards to other demons, that is not where their danger lay but elsewhere. They are a unit, and function as such. Their weapons still intact after all those years, a part of them as much as any other, for their flesh too mingles with their scutum (shields), which is impenetrable by conventional weapons, easily ricocheting bullets to even fathoming a direct rocket as to shield their otherwise more vulnerable fleshy hides.
They are well versed in tactics, and are very dangerous for having the intelligence to employ it competently besides charging in like other Demons, a part of their discipline back in life. Led by a Legate Demon whom is alike to them, but quite distinctive in that his helmet that is fused with his cranium has a mohawk of dirtied blood red that streaks forth on the top of their heads. They bark out orders in their Demonic tongues to lead, and often are just as equipped as these men.
Centurion Demons is a misnomer but nonetheless applied to differentiate them from the Archdemon Legion. They are all equipped with javelins that they fling with armor piercing power and precision, and find themselves armed with gladius in that they would pierce the enemies that come before them in melee range.
Miscellaneous Notes: - Tend to consist of a hundred at a time, they are a unit, and stick together as such, they are rarely apart.
- Very vulnerable from the back, given a large deformity exists where it pulsates with unnatural life and demonic vigor.
- Destruction off those deformed mounds on their back, those humps, results in instantaneous death for them.
- They employ Roman tactics, and march in close knit cohesion, often in Testudo or Tortoise formation.
- Shields indestructible to human weapons.
- They patrol the Great Undercroft, making war with the other demons there in a never ending battle.
