OBSIDITE
Name: Obsidite
Aliases: Terra Golem, Stone Man, Miner Demon
Sphere: Forlorn Ashland, but only underground.
Tier: Regular
Picture:
Abilities: Hardy and defensible, the Obsidite is a dull, unintelligent Demon which lumbers around with subsonic and baritone chimes emanating from its body. It has no mouth; and seemingly no face. Constructed from the souls of hulking miners, the Obsidite's abilities seem to stem from this also. Most of its "flesh" that is not armoured by solid panels of stone is still highly resilient to sharp implements such as blades and spears, and even has a degree of protection against bullets. However, it is actually rather brittle in structure, and blunt force spread over a larger radius - i.e. punches, clubs, explosives, bludgeons, shotgun blasts - will deal far more damage.
An ethereal glow stems from a slat in the centre of its chest, bright and cerulean, and the same light, albeit far more dim, seems to circle around a "peak" at the top of its head. The lit-up slat serves as an "eye" of sorts, and the Obsidite can said to be dead when it truly fades. The stronger the light is, the more invigorated and powerful the Demon is feeling; when in the best of health and truly ready, it will be almost blindingly bright, but as it takes more damage, it will begin to dim and eventually snuff out.
Obsidites have no weaponry, but will happily strike at intruders or interlopers with their great stone fists, which really quite hurts.
Miscellaneous Notes: - Work as miners, legions of them, underneath the Forlorn Ashlands' surface, carving tunnels through the substructure.
- Very stupid, though their intelligence seems to rise - as does their willpower - when they're in a group.
- Usually found mining in teams of two or three.
