Abilities: Zhongli take the appearance of a fat old man sitting on a beggar's mat, barely dressed in Taoist robes. They are incapable of speech and hover around on currents of soul energy. They hold a magical feathered fan which can be used to alter the atmosphere's soul energy balance and render abilities unusable, while also rendering it immobile. This fan can also be used to make a hasty flying escape. They are vulnerable to stabbing weapons and holy items of any strength, dissipating at the first hit. However, their considerable mobility and control of soul energy make them hard targets.
Miscellaneous Notes: The Zhongli are feral wanderers, and spend their time aimlessly riding the wind. They are solitary and do not breed, instead manifesting where the soul energy balance is right, especially around areas of ongoing or recent violence. If one should defeat this elusive creature, they will be rewarded with the Zhongli's magical fan. The fan must be charged with the soul energy of a defeated demon, one charge for a regular, one for each power level of the demon, two for elite, and infinite for an archdemon. The fan's charges can be used to perform one act of soul energy manipulation, which includes flying for short distances and creating a soul energy vacuum. It cannot be used to manipulate soul energy inside a demon.
